Clients & Partners Evolution Product Development Inc. consists of two design engineers partnered with two industrial designers with a combined total of 60 years experience in product development. As a team, we provide our customers with all the development tools necessary to take a project from just an idea through engineering, prototyping and into production.
Our client base stretches across all industries including medical, consumer, industrial, packaging, institutional, military and automotive. We posess extensive experience designing for all manufacturing processes, but concentrate mainly on injection molding. Our design process looks at all aspects of a product's life cycle. Products are designed to satisfy our customers' needs while paying attention to tooling and production costs.
While at Leisure Inc. we worked on projects such as soap dispensers and bait stations for Ecolab, a personal CD player for Telex, and disposable medical devices for Medtronic. Previously, Randy had worked on semiconductor handling and processing equipment for Entegris/Fluoroware.
Since Evolution was started we have worked on packaging and dispensing projects for Federal Package Network and Worldwide Dispensers, water treatment systems for King Technology, hunting blinds for Condo Hunting Blinds, 2-shot molding projects for Rolco Inc., reverse engineering projects for Laser Design, as well as several other plastic design projects.
Our product design process begins with our customer. We meet with the customer to learn their wants and needs for the product. After which we create simple hand sketches showing possible design directions and solutions to particular aspects of the project. Then we meet again with the customer to discuss the benefits of each design direction, and together we choose the most promising path to pursue in engineering. Before engineering begins we can also provide simple 3-D mockups of the chosen direction, if requested.
In the engineering phase we create 3-D computer models of the necessary parts. These files can be used to build prototype assemblies and prototype molds for testing. After thorough testing of the product is completed we provide our customers with a detailed drawing package and files ready for tooling. We can also provide competitive production quotes for all the parts we design.
